FLOTANT mooring and power cable components validated in the Dynamic Marine Component (DMaC) of the University of Exeter

During these months, several components developed in the framework of the project have been validated in terms of mechanical properties.

Novel mooring lines and polymer springs have passed large-scale performance and durability testing, where forces and motions in offshore applications have been replicated.

As with mooring components, dynamic power cable has been tested to demonstrate its capability to withstand forces and motions as well as the real-time sensors technology to be integrated in cables.

Results of these tests will be processed and included in public deliverables which will be available through this website.
